They're better than the supplied stats would imply. The numbers you gave us are Utah State-esque. I wouldn't put the Bruins THAT far down the list.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not arguing that they're going to contend for the PAC-10 title. This early in the year, however, there's really no telling where everybody is right now. And when half of the data supplied comes from a completely unexpected shellacking, you can't give out the final verdict just yet.

Props for going to the Vegas Bowl, that one requires little effort since it is about 10 minutes from your house.

If only BYU had more true blue fans like you!
You're treat and a fat ass.

As an attorney you assume I won't attend.

False assumption.

I will attend one away game and maybe one home game, plus a bowl game, unless it's the Emerald Bowl, SF in the winter time sucks.

Very good of you to attend the USC game in LA, right next to your office, this past weekend.

There are additional football games across the country I might go off and see.

Could you expand on that? I'm curious, did you join the church and think, "hey, I might as well start rooting for the Mormon team"?

No. I joined the Church in HS....maybe I junior or senior?

At the time, I wanted to get away and do something different. So BYU seemed like a nice option. My mom was not happy with the idea, since my older brother stayed local (SC) and my older sister worked locally. But I wanted out for awhile.

During my senior year, we took an organized visit to the school in what was called "Y Days." That was basically a mini-youth conference, minus all the Churchy stuff.....just the fun stuff....we toured the campus, went skiiing, had dances, etc....we even stayed at the old "Horne's Royal Inn" across from the old taco bell at the entrance to the main campus on Bulldog. It was a blast. One look at the mountains and I was hooked.

Before that year, I hadnt even heard of BYU. I do recall the NC controversy somewhat, but i was in 7th grade and didnt pay much attention to college football controversy.

BYU football was certainly not imposed upon me growing up. And to this day, only my mom cares about BYU football in my immediately family. She has come up to a couple of games (including our win over Cal at home) Growing up, our house was always an SC house, which is not uncommon in SoCal....you go UCLA or SC, DOdgers or Angels, Rams or Raiders, and almost always the Lakers.

Agreed. I am happy with the win, too. I just don't get why some would extrapolate that based on our 3-0 start vs dubious opponents, that we are now somehow NC material.

Either way, beat the Pokes!

Let's see.....2-3 games this year. Well, that IS a pretty die-hard itinerary. My apologies.

Hey, if you are going to be in Provo, we should hook up for lunch this week sometime. I will buy (as if I had a choice).

PS you should not take potshots at my weight. that isnt nice. it is a glandular problem.

You call it cheap, I call it frugal.

You will be sorry when I eat my full body weight at Panda Express on your dime. Orange chicken!

aussie picked the location. junkie and I were innocent victims.

the sandwich was actually fine.

It was junkie tormenting people in the parking lot that made the meal memorable. if you all think I give people a hard time, wait until you meet junkie in person.
