I found a new verse
that I like.
The only problem is it's not in a canonical work. It's in the Gospel of Mary, a forgery. 4:36-38 [Jesus speaking] "Those who seek Him will find Him...Do not lay down any rules beyond what I appointed for you, and do not give a law lest you be constrained by it." When He had said this, He departed. |

Yeah, I'm working my way through all the major apocryphal works. Fascinating glimpse into the beliefs of different segments of the early Church. |

The Gnostic Gospels are a fascinating foray into the thought processes of early Christian sects.
The Gospels of Thomas and Mary are classic. I have not read the Gospel of Judas. It is interesting that entire communities developed around a few concepts such gnostic "appearance", antiadoptionist, adoptionist, Cyril's dual nature etc.
