Default What do you picture the Godhead to be?

3. Means the three members of the Godhead have three distinct centers of consciousness, but exhibit the same divine attributes. They form a divine community.

The difference between 2. and 3. is that 2. has a greater degree of unity: the three members of the Godhead are one being.

This board is too smart for me.

What's the difference between 2 and 3?

Chino, I understand #1 and #2 as attempts at a monotheistic trinitarianism, whereas #3 is polytheistic. Am I mistaken?

That is correct. I'm surprised that as of now the results show mormons think of themselves as polytheistic. Perhaps it's because I didn't word #2 right.

I thought Mormons were polytheistic?

We don't know what we are. We're a confused lot.

Well, I'm confused a lot. So that works out well.

If we are to become gods, are we destined to suddenly become tripartite?

Just because we believe that there may be more than one god, doesn't mean we worship more than one.

We worship God the Father.

Christians, as far as I can tell, worship Jesus for the most part.

If anything, it is the Christians who are polytheistic and confused.

Let me add, for those of you who are LDS and say that we worship both the Father and the Son.

Well, unlike the guys in Tallahassee Nights, we don't pray to Jesus.

And I don't think any of you would claim that we worship the Holy Ghost. So why would we worship just two out of the three members of the Godhead?

If we want to argue about the definition of "worship" that's another matter. In my opinion, we *honor* the Son, but as Jesus himself said, all glory is to the Father.
