Why do the British have better taste in music?
Inevitably bands I like do better in Britain than in the USA. Why is this?

Because Americans in general prefer crappy music rather than good music. Think about all those awful hair bands in the 80s. The fans of that garbage now have kids who listen to today's garbage.
