Default I know I've posted this before but,

Thought I would ask again since we've had some new members since join.

I'm a migraine sufferer. Sometimes they come in waves and I get several in a month or sometimes I can go several weeks without having one.

Lately they've become what I'd term "more chronic". I've been to every kind of ologist I can think of (insert proctologist joke here), and am unable to receive any kind of relief.

It gets really bad to the point of incapacitating me to the lazy boy, cold pack on and unable to move for 12-24 hours at a time. Sometimes it gets so bad I'll literally just writhe with pain. Laying down for some reason makes the pain intensify.

Short of a new head, anyone have any new ideas I can try, seems like I've tried just about everything and am doomed to live with it the rest of my life. I've 2 older brothers and 1 older sister who also have this problem.

Maybe you should repent of whatever sin you've been harboring.

See a neurologist who specializes in headaches, not just an ordinary neurologist.

Seek good medical advice. Knowing some neurologists, I'm aware that migraines can be difficult to diagnose and harder still to treat. So I have sympathies for you. My real advice is to start with a neurologist specializing in headaches, move to a physician who also focuses upon nutrition. It seems related to some neurological disorders coupled with nutrition problems. I have observed they can be quite debilitating.

OTOH, I suppose physicians are a bunch of intellectuals, so they probably are all sinners from purgatory who torture themselves. Gratuitious jab at intellectuals is free of charge.

My wife used have those all the time (before we were married). She saw every type of specialist in Michigan. A set exercise schedule with good eating helped them not be so severe. Additionally, whenever she gets an inkling of a migraine she takes excedrin

The brethren would beam with approval. See, marriage solves everything.

Been there, as has 1 of my brothers. There's a specialist up at the U who has a 9 month waiting list.
