It has been over a decade since I graduated from high school. It is a battle to keep off the weight or to lose weight. In high school, I was in great shape, lean and happy. Now I know all about metabolism and about the energy of an active sport-playing high school and college kid. But how on earth did what I eat not kill me off? Besides a typical healthy breakfast of Mike 'N Ike's candies. I would usually have the following:
During a typical week, I would eat: 3 fried chicken banquet dinners: each meal has 470 calories, 27 grams of fat, 35 carbs 3 Totinos Pepperoni Pizzas: each pizza has 728 calories, 39 grams of fat, 69 carbs Now the majority of this was after coming home from a date or hanging out with the guys. If I were to eat all of that on a weekly basis right now, I would be either dead within 2 months or weigh well over 300 pounds in 4 months. That is crazy. Oh, I miss those days. I still get a rush of euphoria when I smell a Totinos pepperoni pizza.
