I too am a bit disturbed with some of the bloodlust displayed by some Americans (i.e. cougarboard posters), who seem to relish war and suffering.

Call me a fanatic if you want, but count me among those who believe that God had a hand in the founding of Israel as a nation and protecting it from destruction on more than one occaison, and that America, as a nation of Gentiles, in supporting Israel, is fulfilling divine prophecy.

Before you group me in with other "fanatics", I am not going to strap a bomb to my chest and blow up a bus, nor would I urge others with beliefs similar to my own to do the same.

would I send my son to die for Israel as things stand now? No way.

I stand for the principles of the gospel--love of God and love of your fellow man. I don't stand for a particular group of people.

If Gandhi had been born in this age, he probably would have been hung by his own countrymen.

People have no faith in peace. No faith in turning the other cheek. No faith in laying down their arms and forgiving. It's quite sad.

This is going to sound preachy and corny, but what the hell. Some things are worth fighting, killing, and dying for. God and country for example.

God delights not in the death or perishing of any soul. Sometimes, it is inevitable, but delightful never, except perhaps when somebody will be richly rewarded to join him.

However, for those struggling aimlessly, their death is not joyful.

Ah yes. The old "fulfilling prophesy" angle. It's amazing what you can get away with when you convince folks that God is on your side.

Heck, why not take over the entire area of biblical Isreal? And let's stop being squeamish. Just kill all the men, women, and children just like in the old testament.
