I thought this was just crazy speculation.

Is this a desperate act of a pissed off athletics program?

MWC is getting good press, might qualify for auto BCS bid. Some good teams and rivalries.

I guess BYU is sick of the MTN situation, for one, where it has almost no national visibility. I would think that is the main reason.

I never thought BYU had the balls to do anything. If this happens, it might be a spectacular disaster, but at least we will be taking our destiny into our own hands.

This could be a negotiating ploy to wring concessions from the other schools in the MWC.

Craig Thompson had better pull off somethign spectacular ala Beebe of the Big 12 to keep the MWC from imploding.

What if BYU doubled its TV money. To 3.6 million. What difference would that make?

I think that this is partly about money, but it's also because of the frustration with the lack of exposure.
