Default Reports that the Big 12 is folding

Nebraska will go to the Big 10.

And as a result the Big 12 South minus Baylor is going to the Pac 10 along with Colorado.

So looks like the Pac 10 said "no thanks" to the SLC market.

We will have discovered some things: that the Pac 10 actually never did care about academics. You can't take OU, OSU, and TT and say you care about academics. Those schools are terrible.

I think eventually the Pac 10 schools will regret this. They will be dominated by the new arrivals (Texas and OU). It's not a good cultural fit.

Just like the Big 8 eventually had to pay the piper when they took on the SWC vagabonds.

Hopefully the MWC will get stronger. Or perhaps better yet, the MWC will break apart and join some of the remaining schools.

Dropping a couple schools would be nice. Like Wyoming for example.

Would be a huge coup to get Kansas. A basketball league with UNLV, New Mexico, Utah, BYU, and Kansas. That's a serious league.

Looks like Chip Brown and his UT deepthroat are leading you by the nose; Chip has you wrapped round his finger.

None of this will happen.

Whatever Texas wants to have happen, will happen.

If the Big 12 ends, I predict the MWC ends as well. At least it should.

Why? Because the best move is for the strongest MWC teams to join the best of the Big 12 castoffs and form a new conference with a new TV contract.

Dump Wyoming, for one. I would think about dumping SDSU as well.
