They couldn't stop laughing about this on Morning Joe this morning for the few minutes I had it on. It will be interesting to see how it turns out.

On a personal note, my sister's husband is getting some degree from there at this commencement, and she had recently written with some angst on her own blog about how it was hard for her to decide whether she wanted to go, as she's no fan of his. I do sometimes wonder whether I was adopted.

It's funny that the most deserving reason the author can think of is federal spending.

"So spending more money than any American president ever dreamed of is not a big deal?"

As if convincing Democrats to spend my money is any great feat.

I suppose if ASU wanted to give him an honorary degree in Marxist theory it could.

They certainly could not award you with that degree, as I think it safe to conclude from your comments you have no inkling of an understanding of Marxist theory and the total lack of its presence in Obama's administration.

I suspect they will give it to him. Regardless, I think it's all bad PR for ASU. Why did they even invite him if they felt this way about him?
