REGARDLESS of how myself or anyone voted or would have voted. Our nation has a black president. Never did America think it would see today. This historic day of a multi-cultural President Elect. I think that is really cool in and of itself.

I just thank God that Bush is almost out. Now my only fear is that ruthless bastard doesn't stir up some more shit in his last couple of months. Bush and Cheney have nearly ruined this country. I just hope the mess they made can be fixed.

I honestly never believed it was possible. I never thought he could do it. It's amazing.

I think diversity is overrated.

My husband has little sympathy for McCain, but he does feel bad for him that he was essentially defeated by Bush twice.

They weren't alone in creating this mess. As bad as this administration has been, things have gotten worse since Pelosi, Reid and Co. took control of the House.

Me too, I didn't vote for McCain or Obama, but I am wishing the best for Obama (and his secret service detail) in the future Truly though he will likely have the most extensive protection any elected official had ever had, obviously right? My FIL who is an FBI Special Agent said this tonight "Man, I would hate to be on his SS detail . . . . ." I really pray for America and Americans tonight, including Obama, that this nation will really try and unite like never before.

Almost every loser in a presidential campaign has made that statement, at least most that I remember, but for the most part they appear to be vacuous words that people don't mean, except for good people such as yourself. But the sad reality is, the good people don't govern. It's only the feisty bastards that do, and they're not so good.

How can the Great Divider unite those whom he has divided?

I can't speak for everyone, but I am nothing without hope.

Sometimes the vacuum of despair can motivate you to fight harder than ever. I remember being purposefully held under water when somebody was trying to drown me, and fighting it upwards was useless, so I dove downwards contrary to the direction desired by my tormentor, that created fire and power to escape.

Hope is good but not always possible. Sometimes conflict is all we have. Of course I can't counsel you what to believe but I'll be interested in ten years of you feel the same way.
