the old BYU defense, IIRC, was in cases of going up against a good O, highly risk taking. The theory being that if we played conservatively they would grind out long drives. But if we gamble maybe we stop them, or maybe they score quick. If they score quick, more time on the clock for us to score!
But utter domination in 7 minutes drives is NEVER the answer. Before I left the game with 5min left, TCU had punted once the entire game! |
