Yo... I need a date idea for Friday night.
First date with the girl. She lives in Salt Lake so I'm picking her up and wanting to do something up there. I'm looking for something unique or quirky -- I've done all of the standard Salt Lake stuff, been to all the standard restaurants. What are some cool suggestions?
Tim

Sushi, or Japanese food at Koko Kitchen. It is located on 3rd E, 7th S, ask TAI, it's the bomb. Right across the street is the Virgin Mary tree, so you can light candles, which is always fun for Mormon girls to do....
Quirky or Unique? You like Jazz music? You could hit up the Bayou on State listen to some good music, you could hit up the Circle Lounge on State.... |

She claims to like sports, so take her to a Stingers game. It will give you plenty of time to get to know each other; you can find out if she was being honest ot just trying to impress you, and best of all.....ball park food, mmm mmm boy!

I have eaten at every sushi place in SLC and I have my favorite, it's Koko Kitchen. They have great prices, nice laid back location, great rice bowls, and the freshest sushi in the valley according to my buddy who delivered fish to all the sushi places in Salt Lake while going to school.... Happy Sumo is always solid and hip, actually they have some great rolls at the Sumo... I am telling you though, Koko is laid back, and if the girl isn't comfortable with sushi it's a great place to start.... |

The Final regular season of the Blaze is tomorrow.
It's a lot of fun. It's more like a 2 1/2 hour mini-football/quasi firework/rock show. Good times. Before or after you can get something to eat one of The Gateway restaurants.
