Religion rises inevitably from our apprehension of our own death. To give meaning to meaninglessness is the endless quest of all religion. When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith.

"The combined production will have a "soft opening" in Logan this weekend, followed by its "world premiere" for two weekends at Cottonwood High School in Murray. It will then be performed in Roy, St. George, Idaho and other places."

LOL.

I don't want to judge without seeing it myself.

When it comes to the local junior high school auditorium here in OC, I still think I am going to see it.

You people need to stop scoffing and give SW its due respect. It is in fact a direct revelation from God:

Quote:
About that time, Stewart moved to Provo to take a position at Brigham Young University.

"Lex would call and say 'anything yet?' " Stewart said. "Over a period of several months I fasted and prayed a lot. Finally, one night, I prayed, 'Heavenly Father, what more is required of me?' And then I couldn't stop writing. I had the outline for the show within 30 minutes. When I shared it with Lex, he was amazed. He even wept at the end. But we still had no idea where it would go."

I have never seen Saturday's Warrior. I don't remember ever seeing Mr. Krueger's Christmas either. How I managed to grow up in the church and avoid these movies is a miracle.

Kamee Merrill, the little blonde girl in MKC, was friends with my roommate while we were in undergrad, so she came by our apartment every once in while to visit with him.

Let's just say that she aged very well.....and unfortunately, she never let me put her mittens on my Christmas tree....

LOL.
Great. I live close to Cottonwood High School. This means that there will be more traffic in the evening those two weeks when I want to go on a run for a Coke.

OTH, perhaps I can charge for parking and shuttling people to the high school. Would $50 be too much?
