Plaisted v Tavernari...
Who do I want to hit more right now?
On the one hand, Plaisted did nothing to protect the lane in the closing minutes, did nothing to rebound at all the entire game, couldn't hit a free throw, decided not to score at all in the first half, and was totally outplayed by Miles. On the other hand, Tavernari, who decided that taking a 3 with about a minute to go from 10 feet behind the arc was a great idea, who once again remembered his passion for shooting off balance or only when fading away, who telegraphed his passes and played soft. On second thought, why am I choosing? With the same little swing, even exie could take them both out. Heaven knows they wouldn't put up a fight. |

It's sad when the toughest person involved with BYU hoops is Sara Cummard.

I thought Jimmer wasn't going on a mission. Last I heard his dad wasn't a member and wasn't supportive of him going on one. Is there new news on his decision to serve a mission? Collinsworth might decide to serve though.

Without Jimmer, BYU loses badly and it's not even close.
I'd kill to see Plaisted post someone up and either a.)dunk of them or b.) at least shoot a traditional hookshot. And I don't even have words to explain how damaging Tavernari's halfcourt shot attempt was. *shakes head |

Serioulsy, Tav's 40 footer was crazy. But to be honest, was anybody surprised that he would take a shot like that? Call Jim Boylen crazy but if one of his guys took that shot, does anyone doubt that Boylen would have run on the court, kicked Tav in the balls and pulled him off the court kicking and screaming?
How does Tav make up for that play? He lets his man go around him and drive into the lane where he kicks it out to the Aggie for a three pointer to see the victory. A 40-footer and bad defense are not a winning combination with 90 seconds to go.
