Default Help with creating a ringtone

I was wanting to take a song one of my songs on itunes and make part of it into a ringtone (opening guitar solo on Dire Straits "Money for Nothing." Ooes anybody know how to take part of a song and put it on your cell phone as a ringtone?

Try http://www.mobile17.com. It's pretty self-explanatory. It'll walk you through set-up, getting the specs on your particular phone, and then you can upload a portion of a song to create a ringtone.

After about an hour, it'll send it to you a text as a music file. On most phones, open the text and then open the menu and there will be an option to "save as ringtone."

It's free and relatively easy.

If you have internet access on your phone check out: www.tuneusin.com

They have a ton of ringtones there for free that you can download. Good ones too.

The site Mrs. Funk is good though too. I use a free program called Wavepad to edit mp3's and then sync my phone to my laptop via bluetooth and transfer the files to my phone to create my own ringtones.

I haven't had a chance to try it yet. I will when I get off of work.

www.phonezoo.com is easier than mobile17.com , i used to be a big fan of mobile17.com but you can't preview your tone like you can on phonezoo.com . Phonezoo is also pretty instant, where as mobile17 takes a few hours unless you pay.

I can't get the upload to start. I have dial-up and it keeps saying that there is a connection/server problem. Still thanks though.
