My brother, while attending BYU, would go down to Springville to paint/draw from nude models. BYU, of course, didn't allow it in their art program.

BYU students used to go to Provo High School but the Nude drawing classes were shut down and moved to the Art City's museum.

I had a friend who went to BYU who posed for the "nudes" for the art classes there...although it probably should've been called the "modest bathing suit" section of the art class.

I don't know. I imagine that if one took nude photos they would be censured by the Honor Code, no? Hades, they covered up Rodin Sculptures for pete's sake!

I think the human figure should be studied and appreciated, not objectified and dehumanized which more often occurs in Photography.

Photography does present challenges in terms of the argument of what is art. It's most definately not the same as drawing and painting yet as a form of art is compelling and evocative.

The intent of the art and the artist is what should be questioned, not the craft or form of art.
