What does Hillary mean ...
"I have so many opportunities from this country ... I just don't want to see us fall backwards." --Hillary Clinton
Is she suggesting that voting for an African American male and not voting for a woman is falling backwards? http://www.newsweek.com/id/85429 Various news papers have it as a video link: http://www.sltrib.com |

To differentiate her from that other Clinton. I hear Rudy all the time, by the way.

I'm not sure I completely understand the love for Obama from a rational basis.
The guy is young, speaks well, has talks generally of change. Is that enough to get you elected? Maybe the dems are just sick of the Clintons. Maybe they see Obama as more electable, with fewer negatives. |

I think it was Toni Morrison who said being a woman was a bigger obstacle for her in life than being black. This election may prove her right. I'm seeing all kinds of evidence including anecdotal that Clinton's gender is a big negative. It's unfortunate, even though I could never vote for her (on the merits).

I call them Rudy and Mitt all the time. If I said John, people would ask, "John who? Martinez?"
