Default A lady is shot and killed in an LDS chapel in Lehi today

and it looks like it was Elcareeb (a cougarboard poster) sister.

This is really sad.

It's a tragic event. Thoughts and prayers for the family.

She was the ward chorister she has two kids 4 and 2.

Her kids were not present when it happened, when the shooter turned himself in he also brought her kids to the police station. They were staying with him for the weekend.

The address given, however, doesn't correspond to any meeting house I can find on the lds.org website.

I just got a call from a friend who was at the church house where it happened....he didn't feel comfortable giving out names or details until the police holds a press conference and til all the family has been notified.

The only thing he told me was to keep the 2 kids and extended family in your prayers.

His exact words at the end of the very brief conversation: "I'm sick to my stomach.....I'm going home to be with my family...call you later."

Kids are for all purposes now orphans. Very tough.

The amount of domestic violence in this country is a real scandal.

My condolences to elacareeb and those affected.

What should our country do differently to reduce domestic violence?

And is there an amount of domestic violence that isn't a real scandal?
