Default Springsteen Tickets - What are they Worth?

I have been offered the "opportunity" to purchase two tickets to the November 12 Springsteen concert at the Verizon Center. $400 for two seats on the third row of the VIP club level and I am told they are a bargain.

Never been to a Springsteen concert and not a huge fan, but I am told his shows with the E Street Band are a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Anyone here been to one of his concerts and have some advice?

20 years ago I would have done that, but not now.

I'm sure it's still a great show as far as the music is concerned, but Springsteen has now started to use his concerts as a forum to spout off about his political beliefs. When I pay money to see a concert, I only want to hear the music, no matter what side of the political isle the musician is on.

He believes in civil liberties. So I actually applaud his views.

It sort of depends on how much you will miss $400. As for me, I would probabyl do it, if they were decent seats, but I like Bruce and I think he can still bring it, unlike a lot of the other older acts out there that charge outrageous prices (I would never go see the stones again, for example, becasue they just have lost it, IMO).

I'd buy them, but just to sell them for a profit, since I'm poor. If I could afford it, I'd gladly shell out to see him. He's great, and lots of fun with the E-street band.

I'm a huge Springsteen fan and have only seen him in concert once. I scalped a ticket in London and paid $100 to sit in the nosebleeds (of course, london is pricier than the states) in 1999 - and even then it was a counterfeit ticket (I expressed outrage and the usher escorted me to a better seat; go figure). Back then, everyone was thinking that it was the last fling with e-street, but I guess not. So, it wasn't really a "once in a lifetime opportunity" but I've since decided it was "once in a lifetime" for me, unless I win the lottery or something.

Springsteen is unbelievable. Plus, he writes his own songs. but $400 is a lot of cash for entertainment (let alone $800 for two tickets). If the cash isn't an issue and your only hangup is that you're not a fan, that can be easily remedied.

I thought it was $400 for two seats? If $400 per seat, I probably wouldn't do it. Seriously, my max for a concert, just on pricnciple if for no other reason, tops out somewhere between 200 and 300 per seat. This is not a joke.

$400 for two tickets. Thanks for the insight from Solon and yourself. Life is short, I will give it a shot.

I read over the weekend that Hannah Montana is outselling Bruce Springsteen in concert ticket sales. That is sick and wrong.

The last place you could watch Springsteen for $40 was at The Stone Pony.
