No, I'm actually looking to start a whorehouse franchise in Nevada. Is your wife looking for work?

Why? Has your wife moved from performance to training?

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

I wish I had owned a franchise.

One of my close friends owned a Blimpies shop a few years ago. Without question it was the worst financial decision of his life.

A guy that works across the parking lot from me is in the process of dumping his franchise label (TCBY) in favor of a new, independent company name. Similar product, new store name.

I met an LDS family from Cinci that owns a handful of Papa Murphy shops in Ohio. I think they do pretty well. It appears to be one of the easier shops to run.

- An Uncle-In-Law owned a Hogi Yogi franchise in Maryland.
- Some friends owned the Hogi Yogi franchise in the shopping center next to Sugar House park.
- A friend in SoCal owned a Blimpie franchise.

Each of these three sandwich/yogurt shop franchisees that I personally know state that it was a bad financial decision. Maybe something about sandwich/yogurt shops makes them particularly hard to run?
