Careful there....

To paraphrase Jim Belushi: "The Cubs can't win as long as we Cub fans are stupid enough to think they'll win it."

Cubs fans are tricky because there are few true Cubs fans. Anybody cheering for the Cubs right now should be viewed as a bandwagoner until proven otherwise. I went to the Cubs-Reds game yesterday and at least half the fans there were sporting Cubs gear. It wasn't that way when the teams met in April or July.

You were at a Reds-Cubs game in Cincinnati in May, too.

Not a Jim Belushi fan?

Belushi made that comment when he was interviewed as part of the show about the Cubs losing the pennant to Florida. It was one of those ESPN "Top 5 reasons you can't blame...." shows. This particular one was the top 5 reasons Steve Bartman couldn't be blamed for the Cubs blowing it.
