Default will I hate aluminum?

I have been on steel with front carbon fork for all these years now.

Will I be jarred to death on aluminum + carbon fork?

My frame is aluminum, but again, I don't know anything about cycling so I'm really no help.

I started on Aluminum, moved to carbon and ti and would never go back. The discomfort level comparatively is not comparable.

Aluminum is for crit bikes and those who like to be jarred.

I respectfully, sort of, disagree. I ride many aluminum bikes and like them more than my steel bikes. The irony of your post is that an aluminum frame for crits will be jarring becasue it is crit geometry. My touring frame is aluminium and it is very comfortable. For a little guy, whcih I am not, Aluminum will be harsher than Ti or Steel.
