How are they running it. I.e. who runs it, how is it staffed, etc.
its under the direction of the stake. Church service missionaries staff it most of the time while there are several couples in the stake with callings of large time commitments

I wonder if and when it will be further replicated. In other words what is the process where it is replicated elsewhere.

uhm, there's one in Toronto ... it's been here for nearly 10 years. I'm sure the goal is to have one accessible to every Stake in North America. i bet if you asked there might be one accessible to your Stake

If you go to providentliving.org--> Employment Assistance --> Find jobs and other opportunities-->Find an employment resource center near you

It will show a map with the locations of all the resource centers. They have one in Dallas.

Also you may have a person in your Ward called as an employment specialist!

I know the stake specialist. I'm aware of the regional programs. They don't cater to urban poor. They cater to people who have resumes.

Where is it located? In a northern white suburb.

The Detroit thing sounds like it is completely different.

The church is looking for Dallas couples willing to accept a call to serve one day a week working at the employment center or bishop's storehouse. The duties include preparing patrons to find employment, searching for employers and job training. Whatta ya' say Mike? Less time with your bees and more time serving.

Ironically, he is a custodian. It's kind of funny in a way. How inspiring would it be to go meet with a guy who speaks broken English, doesn't have a college education, and works as a custodian, who is assigned to help you find a better career.

I love it.

God certainly does work in mysterious ways.
