For once we agree. The guy is loaded. His brother is loaded and on top of that they get plenty of $ to help with their campaigns. Just another reason why politics are too dirty and dishonest for my taste.

I have yet to meet anyone that is overwhelmed by Chris Cannon. He is the poster boy for what is wrong with a two party system.

Even mediocre people need representation and there are loads of mediocre people in utah county. Are you such a demagogue as to deny mediocre people representation?

Hey ya'll Utah Valley spawned a liberal firebrand such as myself. Surely there must be something right with it. Strangely enough almost all the people I knew were moderates, and almost all of my friends are left wingers, and I selected them before I really became a left winger. I hve never figured this one out.

Lebowski- you are correct that it is a one party state. That is never a recipe for success.

Personally, I think he's an accurate representation of Utah County. This is the county that had people trying to convince a school district that Springville High needed to change it's mascot, the Red Devils, because, if I understand it correctly, they felt it didn't represent the communities values.

This is also the county with a city which had a very vocal group of citizens that wanted to ban the sale of beer on Sundays. It ended up going to a vote and many of these people put pressure on their fellow ward members during the Sunday block of meetings to vote for the ban.
