Absolutely, I know that. It's always better to have the opportunity to play for it all. All kidding about the first round losses, I'd have preferred Utah to be in BYU's situation.

Now, should Utah win the CBI, it will be the only school with an NCAA, NIT and CBI championship.

Houston was the NIT loss. We lost to UConn, then Syracuse, then Xavier then aTm in the real tournament.

I agree. I think Freddette is a guy who could be a 1st team MWC type guard if he were staying 4 years straight, and be the type to put us into the Sweet 16. Of course, i would have said the same thing about Plaisted and Cummard after their freshman years.

I thought BYU would be the type of team that could compete in the tournament. A team that can shoot the 3, that passes the ball well. One of the most disappointing things about BYUs tourney appearances for me has been poor FT shooting. Up your percentages in a few of those close games and we have at least two trips out of the first round in the last 4 appearances.
