Default Koemen Race For The Cure

Hey, a few posters on utefans.net have set up a team for the SLC Koemen Race For The Cure which supports Breast Cancer Research. I just joined and I thought I'd post it over here too since we have so many people here that like to run and this is a great cause. It's only a 5K and you can walk or run, plus there is also a 1 mile option. My Mom died of metastasized breast cancer in January, so this cause is very important to me. Here is the link to the info. I already double checked with trouble ute to make sure cougar fans are welcome too

Only such a fine cause keeps me from razzing you about posting ideas that appear on Utefans.net

Aside from a brief change in your avatar a couple of weeks ago, I don't think that you've said much about your mom. I'm very sorry to hear that.

Thanks, I appreciate it. It happened so suddenly that I'm still having a bit of a hard time adjusting. She had breast cancer about 7 years ago, then we thought the mastectomy and removing the lymph nodes on that side had taken care of it, but last october we found that it ha returned and spread to her brain, skull, spine, ribs and hip. In january, she finished whole brain radiation on the 12th, then sunday she really lost the ability to focus of be very coherent in her speach. Monday the Dr told us to get her in hospice care, tuesday they put her on a morphine drip and Wednesday the 17th she passed away. She was only 55 years old.
