Default Bobby

Rented the movie "Bobby" last night.

Not bad, kind of slow, but fairly interesting. It was one of those casts that had lots of "name" actors in it.

The thing that I kept thinking during the movie was how accessible politicians, sports stars, actors etc...used to be. Times have changed quite a bit.

The movie did make me wonder what would've happened in this country had neither of the Kennedys been killed.

Ted's not enough?

Seriously, I wonder about that, too, but also wonder how much of their "aura" was because of their charisma, how they resonated with their generation, and the fact that they did die young.

It seems to have been a good career move...and I don't mean to be irreverent, but many politicians, atheletes, actors etc...that die young are remembered for being far greater than the once great ones of the same generation.
