You didn't understand Ehrman if you believe this rubbish. As Ehrman clearly and succinctly identifies, these inserts were scribal inserts, not revelations from God.

You believe in a global flood, in light of a dearth of geological evidence supporting such a ludicrous claim. Rely upon empirical evidence to support the "historicity" of the inerrant word of "God."
