Blessing a Home
Is there an actual ordinance for blessing a home? I seem to remember some mention of it in an EQ lesson a few years ago on how to do other ordinances, but I can't remember.
Has anyone ever blessed their home? Or is that passé now?

I don't see it listed here
http://www.lds.org/portal/site/LDSOr...00176f620a____ This link gives a basic pattern on how to do priesthood ordinances. IMO, blessing a home is not that much different than dedicating a grave. I've only blessed our first of three homes. Whether or not it is really necessary to do, it might be of value for your kids to see you exercise your priesthood and emphasize the importance of the home and how it should be a place where the Spirit can dwell. $0.02 Last edited by Indy Coug; 03-21-2007 at 01:12 PM. |

If you can get your hands on a Melchizedek priesthood lesson manual circa about ten years ago, you will find some instruction on it.

Yeah, I remember that. It was very handy to have the ordinances in the manual. I wonder why they discontinued that practice.
