Default Next year's roster

My understanding is that we will have the following scholarship players next year:

returning:

1. Plaisted
2. Lee
3. S Burgess
4. JT
5. Vuk

off mission:

6. Miles
7. Anderson

new recruits

8. Fredette
9. Collinsworth
10. Lamont Morgan (why?)
11. Otero
12. third JC recruit
13. possible fourth JC recruit

leaving on mission:

Cameron

new recruit not on scholarship

Martineau

returning guys not on scholarship

MacGregor
Murdock

Is this correct? The only question I have is whether or not Murdock is on schollie. If he is, when did he receive his schollie?

Also, anyone have an idea who else Rose is looking at at the JC level. The news article last week said an inside guy and a point guard.

isn't Morgan a point guard?

I think the "why" is because having only Murdock and an unproven Fredette isn't very comforting. It's good to have some JC experience.

Murdock is passable, but he's no game-breaker.

We definitely need a JC pt guard. The why is why Morgan and not someone better. Morgan's stats are pathetic for a team that's not even that good, if my info is correct.

Next years roster:

Trent Plaisted -Junior
Jonathan Tavernari - Sophomore
Lee Cummard - Junior
Sam Burgess - Senior
Vuk Ivanovic - Senior
Ben Murdock - Senior and will still be a walk-on...his dad is Blake Murdock that owns all of the Murdock car dealerships in the state...they can more than afford it.

Gavin MacGregor - Junior and will still be a walk-on
David Anderson - Freshman off of his mission
Chris Miles - Sophomore off of his mission,,,but I wouldn't count on him contributing next year...if memory serves correctly he comes home in late August so unless I hear otherwise from the coaching staff he's a prime redshirt candidate.

Jean Carlos-Otero - Junior/JC Transfer....This guy is the quiet diamond of the recruiting class, he's very talented and plays aggressively on both ends of the court.

Lamont Morgan - Junior/JC Transfer...this signing seems to be widely criticized by most fans, but I'm holding reserve on him til I see him play.

Chris Collinsworth - Freshman..I have no idea if he plans to serve a mission or not first

Jimmer Fredette - Freshman...serious Newcomer of the Year candidate and a chance to contribute immediately.

Nick Martineau - I thought he was offered a scholie, but sounds like I was wrong about that.

Then Rose said that he'll get 2 more JC Guys...an inside scorer and another guard.

Also, walk on Brock Zylstra and scholie player Jordan Cameron leave on missions.
