I would highly recommend going. But if you can avoid it, don't buy stuff in Monaco, it costs a freaking arm and a leg. Nice is a 20 minute train ride or drive away, and everything there costs about half.

Also, there are good less expensive hotels next to the Airport in Nice, which you will have to fly into anyway. If you want more info boardmail me.

It can't be that surprising that I love France, since I am a Democrat, eh?
We stayed in old Nice across from the Palais de Justice. And also once along the le Boulevard des Anglais in Hotel Suisse Nice.

Nice is nice. Okay I had to say that.

It had to be said. I went to a trial in Le Palais de Justice. It was really exciting, especially since I understood about 20 words.

Do they run the triathalon in Nice? On the day that we arrived there was a triatholon along the Promenade de Anglais.

I would look for any excuse to go back.

They have a full Ironman in Nice in June and the half Ironman in September in Monaco.

I'm sorry it's the Promenade des Anglais. I was working from memory.

Default Archaea can breathe easier

There's not much Dems or anybody can do much about the economy these days. Read this article in Businessweek. The global economy has become so complex that neither fiscal policy, monetary policy, innovation policy, or anything can really effect things.

You can get by with less, look at Monaco, Hong Kong or Costa Rica.

Dems are NOT fiscally responsible. Not by a long shot. Actually no party is fiscally responsible. Jefferson had some great ideas about the debts of one generation not being allowed to burden the next generation.

That is comforting. I am not totally convinced that having a strong balance sheet will not have at least some effect on our position if there were a global downturn. For this reason alone a big dose of fiscal responsibility is in order.

Thanks for the link.

You miss a point; the more you take the less your people have.

And as we approach the fifty percent mark, we approach economic tyranny.

Not if we borrow from abroad.

If you tax your own people, then it's tyranny.

That bitch Pelosi wants to increase taxes on people she ignorantly calls rich. I'm not rich but my taxes would be increased.

Come on over to Libertarianism! We take the best of both parties. Personal freedoms from the DEMS and Financial freedoms from the REPS. I know people think we are anarchists, but we just hate government sticking their nose where it doesn't belong. Low taxes, little government interference. Sounds good to me!
