DirtyHippieUTE is on a distinguished road
Default First bike/run combo for a LONG time...

I rode 24 this morning and then tried to run 5k when I got back to the house...

I only made it about 1.75 miles and I had to walk the last .5 of that but HEY I made it a whole mile before I felt like I was going to die.

got to love that running in quicksand feeling. I am always afraid that my feet won't actually leave the ground and I will just end up dragging them and tripping for the first 1/2 mile.

Archaea is an unknown quantity at this point

Despite having participated in 9 half irons, 2 irons, and 5 Olympics in two years of triathloning, I still never feel adequate on the run portion.

My brother on the other had can get off a half iron bike and run six and one half minute miles. He says it's just toughness. If so, I'm not tough.

If I ever figure it out, I'll pass it along, and if the two of you ever do so, please do the same.
