on the final BYU independence resolution...
...I have a feeling it's going to be very deflating and defeating when we see what the BYU admin decided on...
BYU is run by men who could be outfoxed by bonobos. On crack. |

My prediction: BYU conditionally announces going indy in 2012. The condition: If MWC gets AQ status (which it will NOT), then BYU will stay, but with TV concessions being made. MWC agrees that if AQ status is not gained it will not stand in the way (poach the WAC again) of BYU leaving.
This also gives the WAC an extra year to pick up the pieces and try to have something stable for 2012 when FSU and Nevada leave. Everyone comes out holding hands with smiles on their faces acting like they are happy with what has happened and that everyone was fair and worked extra hard to come up with this arrangement that is "the best interest for all parties." |

Huh? MWC is not standing in the way in any form. There is no penalty for leaving the MWC.

or the waiting until 2012 gives time to get TCU, BSU, and others to agree to a new conference.
Ok, the MWC is not standing in the way, but they have gotten in the way. They won't get in the way again if no AQ is received. |

One of the most important moments in BYU history.
I feel like I should care more. |

What's happening? BYU's going the Big 12? If so, cool. If not, don't wake me up from my nap.
