AD Revenues
http://blogs.orlandosentinel.com/spo...-tell-you.html
This article has some interesting figures. BYU's revenues are a little lower than I would have thought, in that I had thought them to have the highest revenue of all non-BCS schools. But according to this, TCU was higher. I really don't see how that is possible given 1) how poor their football attendance is, and 2) how bad their basketball attendance is. BYU is the 2nd highest behind TCU. But look at Utah. Ranked 80th. Significantly behind BYU and TCU. Also behind New Mexico, San Diego State, Air Force, and UNLV! Only Wyoming and Colorado State ranked behind Utah. Utah, big money program? Hardly. Utah, big support from the community and alumni? Hardly. I think that's why they are so exultant. They hit the lottery. |

I think the figures on that list include donations by boosters, and TCU has some very affluent boosters.
If we looked at straight revenues, BYU would top all non-BCS schools, and probably several BCS schools. |

Who knows about TCU.
One thing is clear: Utah appears to not have any wealthy alumni. Given the entry scores of their students, not surprising. Utes are pumping my gas, while I may FORTY-FREAKING-THOUSAND DOLLARS A YEAR! |
