Slightly frustrating
I bought a Gospel Principles book yesterday at Deseret...then after I had paid, the clerk told me that a new updated version was to be published. Crap! I spent $5 on the old when the new is coming out.
Hook. Line. Sinker. Oh well, I suppose it can be a good reference or dust collector as opposed to returning it.

It will be interesting to see what they've changed.
As a seasoned member, perhaps I've grown to accustomed to looking too often at the negative side of much of what we provide. I have a few friends who are looking at the Church experience from independent perspectives who are finding the experience to be quite positive. The newness is helpful and refreshing.

The experiences of others help me reshape my perspective so I avoid "knee-jerk" pre-conditioned responses.

Because I don't know what you actually look like, your response made me think of a full sized person of your Avatar picture having a literal 'knee-jerk' experience. It made me laugh. Sorry to tangent but I thought I would share.

The image conjured up of a full-grown Sargon "knee-jerking" is quite amusing. It makes think of Monty Python skits.

Perfect corellation. Had the Dark Knight in the Holy Grail not had all his limbs amusingly cut off, I would still had laughed if something was said or occurred that caused the 'knee-jerk' reaction.
