Default How many concealed hangun licensees were in the NY immigration center?

http://www.cnn.com/2009/CRIME/04/03/...ing/index.html

Zero.

If you want to commit mass murder, do it in a state where the people are sheep.

Don't come to Texas. You will die. Quickly.

Apparently the shooter's name is/was Jiverly Voong, and he was a SE Asian immigrant.

That would make for two recent mass shootings committed by Asian-Americans.

If there were ever an argument for less gun restriction, the shooting in NY is it. It's a shame that cowards have made it tough to defend oneself.

The sheeple will want to believe that with a few more laws restricting law-abiding citizens from obtaining or owning firearms, that this man, intent on committing mass murder with a couple of handguns, would have been unable to carry out his plan.

What does a predator fear? Do they fear a fence? No. Do they fear mean signs? No.

They fear other predators. Defend life and liberty by becoming someone that predators fear. It's your duty, if any part of you rebels at the idea of being a sheep.

Exactly.

Only the idiots who support the stricter laws think the result will be safer streets. It apparently has never occurred to them that criminal most likely don't go through the legal channels to purchase firearms.

Some people who end up committing crimes go through legal channels. They don't have prior felonies, or other things that would disqualify them for ownership, they pass the instant background check.

But for example, a convicted felon cannot legally own or buy a gun. By definition any gun they have is illegal. Some person sells them a gun.

What laws can be devised that prevent the transfer of a gun from one person to another? Even in countries where handguns are banned, crimes with handguns are rampant. See Australia. See UK. You can't legislate evil away. You can however disarm people that simply want to protect themselves and their families. And that's the sad truth about liberalism. They do everything they can to pave the way for more crime, evil, and predation.

NYTimes is reporting that the two handguns at the scene were registered to the shooter. A Berretta 9mm and a berretta .45acp. Apparently New York has a pistol registration law (most states do not). And apparently, this registration law did not prevent this horrific act (imagine that).

New York pistol registration:

Perhaps New York should confiscate every registered pistol in order to prevent another tragedy.

btw, on the nytimes post, it is interesting to read the comments from the sheeple. They demand that guns vanish. The argument, implicit, is thus: "I have no intention or desire to protect myself, therefore no one else should be allowed to protect or defend himself."

Sadly most of you reading this have aligned yourselves with this kind of thinking. You believe that you and your family are magically protected by God from all harm. You prepare not at all. You rely on others to shoulder the moral burden of standing up to evil. It's sad. And pathetic.

It really is astonishing how many cowards there are in this county. That they would give up rights for a false sense of security is appalling.
