Do you have a particular woman in mind, or is it just gender that drives your support?

Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith.

Sure. And there are plenty of qualified men as well. You're drawing the line at gender, correct?

I want a Republican or a moderate to get the seat, but I won't get my wish.

I'm not drawing any lines. I'm stating that people in the position like Gov. Paterson should consider the gender disparity in the Senate in making the choice. You may not agree, but I bet he does (at least with considering that as a factor).

But if you were making the choice, it would be a woman, right?

Sadly, I bet Gov. Paterson gives priority to any number of factors that have very little to do with "the best qualified," or even "qualified" for that matter.

Before we get too upset about using gender as a factor/requirement, consider what chance there is that the President of the church will consider a woman for the next apostle.

I suspect the answer to that is "zero."

As soon there's a female qualified, I'm sure they'll consider her.

I don't see the coorelation between the two. One is public, the other is private.

I fail to see the distinction.
