Do you have a particular woman in mind, or is it just gender that drives your support?

Sure. And there are plenty of qualified men as well. You're drawing the line at gender, correct?

I want a Republican or a moderate to get the seat, but I won't get my wish.

I'm not drawing any lines. I'm stating that people in the position like Gov. Paterson should consider the gender disparity in the Senate in making the choice. You may not agree, but I bet he does (at least with considering that as a factor).

Sadly, I bet Gov. Paterson gives priority to any number of factors that have very little to do with "the best qualified," or even "qualified" for that matter.

As soon there's a female qualified, I'm sure they'll consider her.
