Maybe the Governor of Illinois' sin is that he was too explicit about what happens everywhere all the time. Waters, you are in a state thatelects judges and encourages campaign contributions from law firms. You don''think that affects justice?

I'm surprised this is a big deal. It sounds like this guy had some enemies that ratted him out, and that this guy wasn't as subtle as politicans normally are.

You talk about the candidate. Then later in the conversation you say, "My wife is looking for an opportunity to get involved in a corporate board." You don't explicitly connect the dots. This is how it is done. And I'm sure these kinds of transactions occur hundreds or thousands of times a day in the USA among politicians.

I think there's a lot of truth in this. The governor was too honest. Remember Palin trying to destroy her errant brother in law. She's lucky she was just a little more subtle and not recorded by the feds.

Trying to get members of the editorial board fired? I don't know the details, but if this in and of itself is a crime, I suspect there are thousands of USA politicians who need to be prosecuted.

It will be fun to watch Obama dangle in the wind, as already the press smells fresh meat.
