Default Mike, where's your

outrage over the treatment of Plaxico Burress? I may have missed it. If you can't take a loaded gun into a nightclub in your moist sweat pants, who will protect us? More seriously, where is the statement from the NRA expressing outrage that a simple gun owner like Burress who was trying to protect himself is being mercilessly persecuted by the NFL and by this nation's draconian gun control laws? Like I said, I may have missed your expressed outrage.

John Lott has an article on this, that was linked by the NRA. Sorry don't have time to find it for you.

Linked isn't good enough for me. Based on one unified theory of the universe (do you suscribe to it?), I suspect the NRA would have been shouting from the rooftops on its own, instead of providing a link, if Burress were white.

You're right. If owning a handgun was illegal, Burress never would have had one.
