one can have five kids by only copulating five times in a 60 year marriage. That's hardly inspiring.

Tex finds that inspiring, let him have his perspective.

What's inspiring is that you must resort the the absurd to make your point.

This is where parents live up to their part of their responsibility of raising a child. My children know I love my wife and that kissing her, holding her hand, and closing and locking the bedroom door to take time for ourselves is part of a great relationship.

I interviewed many ym/yw during my mullah years and addressed issues that included masturbation, petting, fornication, teen pregnancy, etc...many parents don't take the time sit with their children and talk about these these issues. Although most teenagers know about sex, unfortunately, they obtain it from a distorted point of view from their peers, the school system, or the mainstream media.

How do you respond to a 15 y/o YW that asks, "Bishop I performed oral sex on him, how can that be bad, I am still a virgin?"

You have two hats, your ecclesiastical and your human hat.

As the ecclesiastical leader, you must state, our organization regards these matters as significant but that we all have human urges, which are better enjoyed within the confines of matrimony. It's a very good thing to feel this way, but not productive to pursue it in this manner. Something like that.

I don't think you come down with the hammer so that she will never come to you again and believe she's horrible and should never enjoy it.

It is healthy to embrace one's sexuality fully, and to share it with an appropriate person. Anything else is cultural defined to encourage conformity with societal expectations.
I was with you until this one.

You went from credible sexologist to peep show specialist in one fell swoop.

Clarify for me, Arch. Outside of marriage, how do you teach teenagers to be healthy sexually but still chaste?

I'm not recommending we have young girls as strippers but that we take away from the sensationalism of dress.

You can go to Polynesian cultures where we're not so uptight about our bodies, our skin and how much is exposed. That's my point. Do we want our young teenagers to look like skanks? No, but I imagine clever persons could come up with a reasonable middle ground.

Are you so ashamed of the human form that you believe it must be completely covered? Do you get turned on just because you see a little skin?

Do you want your young men to pop if they touch a girl, or should human sexuality be natural with good boundaries?

You're reading too much into my caricature and my words.

For example are you against bikinis?

Neither of my daughters have problems getting into BYU, live by those standards but do wear them when not on BYU campuses. I don't want them to be ashamed of their bodies. And yes to the best of my knowledge they both live the law of chastity.
