Default I think the arguments about who has the best defense

among the three best teams in the conference are officially settled.

1) TCU
2) Utah
3) BYU

Really? How about we let them play the games? Especially since they will play one another.

You are giving BYU to much credit. I wouldn't put them that high.

The talent in the middle just isn't there, and the scheme sucks.

I hate this defense, its effort and lack of fight.

I'd place BYU's defense about 5th to 6th in conference. We're ineffective and complacent.

Is David Nixon not as good as advertised? Seems like he has been caught out of position a lot...the last two weeks especially.

I think he is. He has taken a couple of bad angles these past couple of weeks but he makes big plays. He is dang good. A couple of times you might have noticed him covering a wide out that might have made you think this way which like has been discussed a dis on the system. LB's shouldn't be running man for man with wide outs.

I couldn't agree more - Nixon is very good. He too often has to compensate for the other linebackers, but he gets the job done. Bauman and Doman are embarrassments. Actually, as bad as Doman is, it's not fair to include him with Bauman, who is beyond pathetic.

And if Bauman is beyond pathetic, I'm not sure what that makes Fowler - I'm not sure he could start for most good High School teams. And if he started for a good High School team when he was in High School, he must have regressed since that time.

I thought the corners actually played decent today, but UNLV killed BYU in the middle of the field. Bauman, Doman, Tafuna and Fowler...wow.

Rich did a good job. It's time for him and Pendleton (or somebody, anybody) to play safety full time.

playing time. I don't see them doing any worse and both have an attitude and some speed.........features the others don't have.
