Default Band of Brothers

I just finished watching this series. It is amazing. Anybody who even remotely enjoyed Saving Private Ryan should watch this show.

Blockbuster online is awesome too.

I bought it a few years back as soon as it came out. It is, to me, one of the best things ever made for television. I continue to wonder why Damien Lewis doesn't seem to get more work; he was outstanding.

Yes it is amazing. The book is good too. Guys like Dick Winters and Bill Guarnere are true heroes. Incidentally, Dick Winters has a book out about his life (mostly the army) - can't remember the name.

Amen. Loved every minute of it.

I particularly enjoyed the extra feature at the end where you got to see interviews of many of the actual soldiers.

BoB is EXCELLENT. I recorded the episodes off of the History Channel last year and watched them all. What a well done mini-series.

I got my wife to watch this with me. She doesnt like alot of violence, but she put up with this. She was crying at the end of the last episode, and I was even choking up a little.

So we have watched all the episodes (5 discs). Is it worth it to watch the sixth disc? Its in my qeue, but I was considering removing it cause it is just bonus material.

Absolutely. The bonus material is where the interview the surviving members of the original Band of Brothers. It is excellent.

I loved Band of Brothers. I loved reading about WWII history.

While Saving Private Ryan still goes down as my favorite war movie, Band of Brothers as a whole runs a close second.
