Don't you think that allowing gay marriage will give further acceptance to bad comedic timing and delivery? Isn't it worth fighting against for this reason alone? I, quite frankly, don't want to live in a world where Mormon vs Moron jokes actually get a laugh.

Why is she wearing an art smock? You could fly a jumbo jet through those front teeth. Holy crap.

Or even more likely, he thinks the wisdom of the press release is so apparent, it deserves no further comment.

His problem, not mine.
Are you claiming the high ground here?

You didn't like what LA had to say and jumped on him. You have a history of believing that yours is the correct opinion. Your opinions are no more or less correct than any other's opinions.

LA Ute would be a great addition to this forum, but we need to let the newcomers know that we tend to make pithy comments that are often acerbic as well.

I have provided a response to the "wonderful" statement that the church put out.

I'm still waiting for a defense of that statement, or a rebuttal to my response.

I would actually REALLY REALLY like to hear a good defense of the church's statement. That's why I challenged Pelagius, because I think he is the only one here who could. I don't think Pelagius is an apologist per se, but I do think if anyone here could write a much better defense of Prop 8, it would be him.

I'm still waiting. I would appreciate even a link to someone's thoughtful analysis in defense of the church's statement. I even wandered over to FAIR/Mormon apologetics, which I almost never do.

If you look at my response, you will note that I spent a fare amount of time working on that, and so yes, I am a little bit unimpressed if someone can come up with no better than "it's wonderful."

There are actually only a few people on this site that do their own thinking (Pelagius is one of them). So the rest of you that don't want to think, that's fine. Just leave us alone as we hash this out. Leave your tomatoes. bananas, ripe mangos on your tray. Cinch up your bibs, pay attention, and shut up.

You were doing fine until your condescending last paragraph. Apparently, you like to ignore lessons that you yourself could learn, such as "Piss off! I'm always right."

You're not always right. And there is nothing bad about being wrong once in a while.

Mike, do you truly believe that your 'response' to the church's statement was so devastating that no one is able to respond? Are you ractually that impressed with your own work?
