Perhaps, but that is still a different issue. You were talking about HS VB teams and not making them. (And you may notice that the ganlgy Caucasians are frequently playing gangly blacks from other countries, but I guess that doesn't count).

What states have high school track and field teams? Comments like these make me think you should just avoid the sports forums most of the time. Yeah, track is not sought after. But it's 100x more sought after than volleyball. Pull your head out. |

I would put a lot of money on any one of the men's volleyball players against Waters in basketball. Or women's volleyball players. Or any sport of his choice. |

Back to the original topic...
They had a little discussion between commentators about how badly they've underperformed. Much was attributed to the leadership change earlier in the year. I have no idea how accurate this is, but Bob Costas pointed out that on the 4x100 men's relay, the runners were wearing these goofy, hand-written USA markers that looked like they just pulled out a sharpie, wrote USA on a piece of paper and pinned it on. Does seem to speak to a lack of organization. And while you're right about jeremy what's-his-face, sprinters (US and otherwise) always seem to be cocky jerks, nothing new. Tyson Gay actually seems like a decent guy, an exception that proves the rule. Problem is, he lost. |
