What is DC going to say
when the murder rate goes down after guns are allowed to law-abiding citizens?
Quote:
No doubt they will credit their "other efforts" and that because of them the murder rate went down "in spite of" the court's ruling. |

On the other side of the spectrum, Texas now has a castle law that allows, among other things, all legal gun owners to carry concealed in their cars, with no permits required.
Your car, work, and home is part of your castle. |

So you guarantee the murder rate is going to go down now? Care to throw out a percentage?

There is little argument out there that concealed carry increases gun violence. DC, being much smaller than most states, will have more variability I'm sure. But yes, I believe that allowing citizens to have guns lowers the crime and murder rate over the long run. |

The Supreme Court's puzzling mandate? The 2nd Amendment really doesn't matter? Unbelievable.

Maybe your typical thug will think twice before he kicks down granny's door, knowing that granny now has the legal right to blow him away.

Let's not get carried away. While they have a gun at home, they may not be allowed to use them to protect themselves. In Texas, until recently, you were always under obligation to run away. That's the first thing the grand jury is asked. Did he have an opportunity to flee? So Granny has to jump out the window or she is guilty of a crime.
