So who is the Zarqawi insider/informant?
Not that we will ever know, but my money is on one of the people who were allegedly killed during the strike on the house.
Otherwise, it would be pretty hard to hide your identity. "Where did Mohammed go?" "I hear he found $25 million under a mattress. He is on vacation." "Wow! Good for him. That must be true, I mean where else could he have gotten $25 million from?" The guy would be killed in a day. So why not pretend he was already killed, relocate him, pump him for a bit more info, and pay off the cash. |

I agree. Before he's allowed to cash in, we need to get as much info as he as and make sure he can at least enjoy his newfound wealth.
I was so hoping I could get the reward. There are lots of toys I would have bought. Which leads to another question - would the Church accept tithing from it? It isn't gambling money, but I've never heard that reward money for a wanted criminal isn't titheable (if that's a word.)

Wow- ABC News has now released the name and photo of one of the informants. They guy they revealed isn't the one getting any of the cash. Sucks for him. Not only does he get no money (because he revealed the info after being captured and interrogated), but now he is known as a rat.
Way to go ABC News. I think we are trying to promote people becoming rats. I would imagine revealing their identity doesn't help us accomplish that goal very easily. I have to think every family member and friend of this guy are now running for their lives. |

The guy who gave up the Hussein brothers cashed in, IIRC. He got his whole family and flew to the UK to live out his life(not positive about the location).
At any rate, any informant who collects afterwards is going to want to get the heck out of the middle east as his life expectancy there just dropped into single digits(days not years).

I agree with others here that it was very irresponsible for ABC to do this. Way to set him up for a greusome death you morons.
