Default Barber poll shows Romney in lead in Calif.

I got my hair cut today. The woman that cuts it is very nice, although perhaps not the most astute oberver of the world around her. She rarely talks about politics. In fact, I can't recall it ever coming up before. To my surprise she launched into a rant about how much McCain has lied and how she thinks we need to spend less time on the war and terror and more time on the economy. Therefore she thinnks we have only one choice: Mitt Romney.

I realize the poll's sample size of one is on the small side, but she is very nice, very humble and very serious, so I decided to release the results anyway.

Btw, she is not LDS and she knows very little about the religion (don't bag on me, I try to bring it up but she just isn't interested, usually).

Biased opinion. Who do you think is going to give a barber more business, McCain, or Romney? It's the economy, stupid.

All kidding aside, I was very surprised she is going to vote for Romney. She strikes me as the typical California moderate and I thought she might be up for Obama. Instead, she is adamant that Romney is the guy. Very surprising to me.

Was it one of those joints where the women are dressed in bikinis?

When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith.

Which clipper attachment did you request? I always get #2 on the sides and in the back. Tapered back.

Californians are scared of old age. They're all sooner or later surgically embellished. She probably likes Romney's plastic smile and synthetic hair.
