Not a bad price... I wonder why it's so low. It may be the discontinued model from Canon, which is still a solid camera.
As far as the still picture resolution, basically, it's crap. It's about half a mega-pixel, I believe. Most digital still cameras will take in the range of 3 megapixels to 7+ megapixels. I would definitely go with two cameras instead of trying to make them both work as one. I actually really liked this camera: http://www.wisetronics.com/Canon-ZR-...-p/cnzr300.htm I probably would have bought this one, but Best Buy quit carrying it as it was a discontinued model and I had some Best Buy Gift cards, so I was somewhat limited with where I could shop. |

So the cameras on those camcorders suck huh...
Why was I thinking you could get a 4 megapixel camera inside a camcorder.... Must have been smoking crack again. I have a digital camera, Optio, waterproof camera, think it's fun, the lady has a nice digital camera I believe a Canon.... Maybe I'll buy the 500 model, save some cash and get a small quality camera. |

That's what I did and have been happy with it, like I said.
I originally thought that the pictures they take were around 2MP, but they aren't. The sad thing is, there are cell phones (most cell phones, actually) that take better still pictures than that camcorder. The other camcorders are still solid options, but don't spend the extra green to get one that takes pictures, that's a feature that isn't worth it, iMO. |

Does it get great action shots?
When I told my mom I needed to buy a camcorder before the wedding she said... 'The action shots you hope to capture are better kept off tape.' I thought to myself, I have the coolest mom ever... |
