The point of Mormonism is that being a follower of Christ means much more than being on friendly terms with a great guy.

If you go back and look through the "Teachings of the Presidents of the Church" priesthood manuals over the past ten years, every year has the same curriculum. There is a lesson on chastity, one on work, one on family life, etc. It is the same things over and over but just coming out of a different mouth.

Sacrament Meeting themes and the Sunday School rotation do the same thing: same principles over and over but from different sources.

However, most of our experiences relate to some experiences common to general subjects. We may wish to believe our experiences are unique and not shared by others, but we are often in error in that belief.

Variety is grand, but providing it is often very difficult, especially in a correlated world.

I wish we would spend a whole month on World of Warcraft. All the teenage boys would be riveted during Sacrament Meeting.
